To the right of each column header, there is a mapping option.

Text Value is selected by default, but it is important that you replace this value with the correct mapping:

ID - for Student or Staff ID's this will be used in the future for Select ID

Numerical Value - allows you to filter by a certain number range

Text Value - the default mapping, things like grade year, first name, last name, and school names may fall into this section

Phone Number - Alerts will use numbers found in these fields to send SMS and Phone calls

Email - Alerts will use numbers found in these fields to send emails

Date - Gives options for date formatting sent over by many SIS, this is often used with Attendance Alerts

Time - Gives options for time formatting sent over by many SIS, this is often used with Attendance Alerts

Date Time - A combined field including the two options above

Do Not Import - this column will not be included in the Data List.

Language - Allows you to set a variable like "Eng" to the value for "English and will make any message sent to anyone tagged with that language send out defaultly in that laguage when Translate Message? is chosen when sending an alert.

When you are done naming headers and assigning the appropriate mapping, click the Create button.
